Rockauto Parts

Hey guys, I'm in need of two headlights badly cause my headlights are currently hazy as hell in the interior of the plastic. It's becoming very dangerous to drive at night with absolutely no visibility.

I went to Ford and they gave me an estimate for $230~ per headlight. I jumped when I heard that price when I knew online they were at $34 per headlight. I plan on purchasing these headlights at Rockauto.com, does anyone know if they're a trustable source?

Now I wonder, if the quality is really bad on these $40 headlights or I'm just being super paranoid and go with the stealership's headlights?

Let me know,

Thanks!

Yeah, tomorrow I'll 99.9% chance buy them. I'm tired of driving in the dark.

I use and recommend Rock Auto for a variety of parts. Who is the manufacturer of the headlight assembly? Are you sure it's the whole assembly not an assembly without the lens or just the lens?

That's fairly cheap. I've fixed yellowed headlights before. Some people purchase special kits at parts stores that will make the lens clear again. I use wax, but specifically poly waxes not carnauba wax, and rubbing compound. It takes a long time, but it works. I've heard the kits are quicker.

Be sure to check out our Vendor Deals, Group Buys, and Special Discounts forum for the Rock Auto thread, and a code to claim a 5% discount.

Yeah, the MACHs aren't really MACHs just real good look a likes.

I went through this steps "2001 FORD FOCUS STREET 2.0L 1989cc 121cid L4 FI (3) DOHC : Body-Exterior : Headlamp Assembly"

TYC Part # 20582700 #3S4Z13008CC, FO2503171} Includes Bulb & Socket 3S4Z 13008 CC; w/o HID; Right

and this is the image given;

I'm guessing it's not just the lens or whatever, I think it's the whole headlight

Also thanks a lot for the discount, didn't even see that.

EDIT:: Yeah, I purchased Plastx and nothing happend, still hazing as hell. Using rubbing compound and nothing happend, the damage is all in the inside.

rockauto.com is awesome first off

do what whynotthinkwhynot said and find and use the 5% discount

and if since its giving you a TYC part number and if its indeed a TYC part, your getting a top quality part at a good price.

Yup, found the discount code, used it and got at $5 discount, pretty good for 1 minute of searching. Thanks I appreciate it.

I know my only concern is if it's the actual headlight and not just lens like whythinkwhynot said.

Darn I just ordered 8 radiator hoses last week and I didnt know about the code. Still got a great deal though.

Have you tried wet sanding the headlights then use the Plastix? That's how I restored my headlights.

I'm pretty sure its the whole headlight assembly on Rockauto.
