Nice find, but they want way to much for it in my opinion. Unless the perfect buyer comes by, that is not gonna sell.

It's not **that** overpriced. Used cars have gone up in price something terrible. It is super low mileage too.

I am just comparing it to my 08. I paid 9500 April of '10 with 23K miles on her. But yes efficient used cars are going up in price.

I think the price is high, too. But do this. Do your homework.

1) Figure out what is a good price for the car by checking KBB, Edmunds, etc. (KBB.com lists the retail price on the car at $11,415)

2) Call the dealership and establish a first name relationship with the internet salesman. Ask whatever questions you can: service records, body work etc.

3) Make your best offer. Fly out, pick up the car, and have an adventure on the way home. You live once.

I bought my 07 mtx wagon in Buffalo NY this way, sight unseen. The car has been a joy. Walla Walla is a little further, but buying an mtx wagon with low miles... priceless.

Rare spec: 07 Focus wagon (ZXW)

Thanks to al for your thoughts and suggestions as I move up from the Ford Escort to the Ford Focus. I found a 2007 5 speed SES Wagon in NC with 56,031 miles apparently in excellent shape with an ask of $9,999. I'd like to trade in my 5 speed wagon and drive down from VA to pick it up, possibly this weekend. The Salesperson is going to give me a price on my trade in for my Escort. But, a quick question for the board. What is the difference between a ZXW and an SES? Does the ZXW have more horseposer? The SES options look pretty good. I would appreciate and insights. Thank you! Mike
