I hate being a car guy..

Seriously.

When I woke up this morning, I seriously considered taking my car and trading it in on a Comp-O SVT.. now for the last few hours I really want to buy a 90's Volvo, turbo it, slam the ever lovin' piss out of it and toss on some sexy Euro wheels. In a couple hours, I'm sure I'll change my mind again and want something else. I also want to pick up a Subaru for winter. Either a 2.5 RS, or even an early 2000's Legacy or Impreza wagon.

This is all fine and dandy except for the fact I can't afford ANY of these cars. And even if I could afford them.. I don't have room for more than 1 car. I would have to rent a storage unit to store a car over winter.

Ughhh.. too many cars, too many mods.. not enough money.

Being a car guy is like an addiction you say once you get this mod you will be done but you never stop. After that one then there's another and another! its never ending :/

As I told someone on Facebook..

At least with a drug addiction, you can do unforgivable things to get your fix. Unfortunately, with an addiction to cars.. sucking d*ck gets you nowhere. Lol.

You're in the same spot as me. But we have good vehicles for our addiction. While we may not be able to buy vehicles that look/perform the way we want, there are so many directions we can can go with the Focus. And thats what keeps it in my driveway.

This is why I felt being an automotive mechanic would alleviate those feelings..... though it might once in awhile when you drive something and realize it's a POS, you get things you never thought you'd like that you really want.

Don't get me wrong. My Focus brings me a lot of joy.

It's not that I don't like my Focus. It's that I like THOUSANDS of cars.. and I want to own them all. But I'm not Jay Leno, so I will never be able to own them all.

exactly.

oh um..... oddly enough Forza (the latest release) is a good way to get rid of that need. seriously. just set everything on the most realistic settings, no hud and interior view. actually not too bad.

by Comp-O SVT I am assuming you mean 03/04 termiator? Believe me I feel your pain. had I not come out here to the sandbox I wouldn't have mine. I didn't mod it much since I have dumped all my coinage into my 95 rebuild ... it will be the same, at least initially, with the focus since I will have to find a mod supporting job first.
