High gas prices? Who cares?

Pickups from Ford and Chevy were the top selling vehicles in August. Focus nowhere to be seen.

AMERICA, YEAH! caps

Seriously, wtf is wrong with Americans? People here buy big, expensive, fuel wasting trucks, and yet they never use them for hauling anything. I'd say most SUV owners would be fine with a wagon, or a crossover for people who actually need the space.

Cause this is 'Merica.

If you eat enough food every single day to feed a family of five why wouldn't you drive a truck that uses enough gas to power five cars?

Try putting an atv in the back of a car while also pulling a 20 foot boat. financially makes no sense for me to own another vehicle... so I drive a big truck, whoever doesn't like it can go eff themselves with their liberal left hand. [bootyshak

You are a truck owner that is becoming the exception rather than the rule. You know, the ones that haul things, take their truck off road or otherwise use their truck for truck things.

The ones that are annoying are the ones that buy a giant Ford F-350 or a Dodge Durango to haul themselves to the grocery store. I can't get behind the idea of being wasteful for the sake of being wasteful.

Oh, you speak for all truck owners? I didn't realize you all owned boats and atvs.

You're the good kind of truck owner. Most aren't like you. They never haul a single thing, and just like the idea of having a big tough truck.

The new durango with the v6 is exceptional on fuel. I have one at work at cruising at 65-70 on the highway I can get up to 29.xx mpg according to the in dash computer.

Part of the reason I gave up on driving my lifted Jeep every day to work. People will drive what they want to drive though. People could say the same about Focus owners because they aren't driving 60mpg Prius' too.
