my new bike

Well i got a bike. its a 2004 Suzuki SV650 and it is awesome! its pretty old and a little beat up but thats ok cause i'm not afraid to much to lay it down. Its my first bike and i am now in love with riding. the focus is still around and i love it. If the bike does anything it just makes me miss home even more the focus. I really wish there where some good corners around here!!!

Nice bike! Good choice too; there is a hell of a market in after-market parts & accessories.

Have you taken a MSF course yet? If you haven't you should.....

Nice bike you got there. Enjoy it and keep the rubber side down!
Also don't let people tell you its just a "starter" bike or a "chick bike." You're SV will move quicker than the vast majority of cars on the road and be a hell of a lot of fun. Such sentiments usually come from squids on supersports who perhaps have the skill to ride the bike to 20% of its capacity.

Now I can't wait to get back on my '99 Ninja 500. I wish it had a little more bottom end grunt but a 13 second bike that carves corners like its on rails is plenty of fun for me.

357lbs and 72hp? Your SV should haul ass!

SV650's are nice. My buddy had one. I had to beat the crap out of my nighthawk to keep up with him just cruising. It was a fun bike to ride in the twisties. I rode bitch on it a couple time just because it was wicked funny to see a 6'2" person on the back while a 5'6" person is driving. Still had some balls loaded with 2 people.

ya i love it!! i had to convince my wife. And she laid down an ultimatum. If i got the bike i would have to go back to school. Granted now that i am back it school im glad she gave it to me. and i had save for it. I did though. 1500$ well spent!!! Ya i really hope to have it for a long time. Hopefully ill have it when i move back home to cali. there are more curves in one mile there then within 100 miles of this place!!! but it is still amazingly awesome. and it really can get up and go. its nothing like my car. speed is very different on a motorcycle then it is in a car! I can't wait to get home though and ride it on some good curvy roads.
