That thing looks like projectile vomiting feels...

Was it designed based on what 7 year olds look for in their Hot Wheelz toys?

Now with 200% more rice!

I'll be interested to see what it ends up looking like in real life, though. If it is something that they are building to try and compete with the Citroens in WRC it should be a wild one performance wise. I just can't see buying something that is as ugly as the artist's rendition (which I know is only what one person thinks it should look like).

Good Lord... they would have lent the story more credence by leaving OFF the illustration. That looks like a "my first photoshop" done by a 12-year-old. I always hated trying to pronounce "Impreza" so good riddance to that name (I know the base car is sticking around... the WRX and STi are the only ones that count).

I think it might hurt their impreza sales to be honest... at least in the younger demographic. A lot of people buy the regular impreza because it's the only thing they can afford that resembles the wrx and STi

Word. It's like a disfigured midget Veyron.

I think it may actually increase the Impreza sales. If they don't have to engineer the base model for the crossover into the higher performance varients, then the base model can be CHEAPER. I'd imagine that the market for an inexpensive, all-wheel drive, sedan would be a good one.

His point was that some people buy the Impreza because its known as the little brother of the WRX and STi. When that no longer is the case, then the Impreza loses some of its luster...
