Pinstripe Removal Question

Sorry, I know its not the focus, but I have a question on how to remove pinstriping. I know that I need to just use a blowdryer and heat up the striping and just peel it off, but it is a 4 year old car, will there be any paint fade? I dont want to peel off the pinstripe and have a nasty faded red line underneath What should I do about it? I really want to take off the tacky pinstripe, but dont want a nasty paint fade line.

Here is the pic:

I would just try pulling it off the trunk first or maybe 1/2" right were it stops at the door and inspect the paint. I don't think it will be super noticeable.

If it is a good body shop will be able to buff it out.

Pinstripes

More than likely it will be your other paint that is faded, the paint underneath the stripe has somewhat been protected from the sun. Don't know if a hairdryer will get hot enough to loosen the adhesive, a heat gun that is constantly moved over the area is much better, just don't stay in one spot to long cause you can burn the paint. If you have any adhesvie residue use something like "Goof Off" or "Goo Gone" or there are some other automotive adhesive removers. Make sure to follow up with the wax of your choice, and if you don't like the way it looks put the stripes back on they are a "Classic" appearance mod still very much used today.

Posted via FF Mobile When I took the pinstripes off a truck that I have I used my fingernails. Then I used some cleaner wax and then after that a good polishing and you can't tell at all it had stripes.
