New 2006 ZX4 Owner So-Cal

Hello ...

I bought my Focus used with about 70k miles on it. Its a 2006 ZX4 with a manual trans :)

I haven't done very much yet to it but run a tank of Redline SI-1 fuel cleaner through the tank. I plan on changing the fuel filter and spark plugs soon, as well as replacing the fuel cap - looks sorta questionable to me!

I've been reading about the various intakes that are available and like the one that FSWerks puts out. Anyone know if is CARB certified since I live in Ca? Just curious as to all you folks in CA have done to replace the lifetime filter setup on this car... I've also read about the Stealth CAI as well...

Overall I think its a great car, fun to drive, and like the gas mileage so far... so see ya around on the forums!!

Todd

CA sucks when it comes to emissions. If you change your intake, keep the factory one to change over every other year when you have to get your test done

Hmmm cant find it on their site... Will have to do some searching - I think I remember seeing it here or over on Focaljet. Anyhow, I was thinking of replacing the spark plugs and fuel filter very soon. What do you guys think of double platinum plugs? I was looking at the Autolite APP104 ones gapped to .051.. I have no clue what is in the engine now, possibly the originals!

Thanks in advance!
Todd
