35.5 MPG, Best yet.

So I have been paying close attention to my MPGs for the last 3 months. This week was the best so far at 402 miles on 11.3 gallons.

Total average for the whole 3 months is right around 31. A couple weeks I was down around 26 MPG driving somewhat aggressively.

you still got a few more miles left there in there! I have a 14 gallon tank and whenever ny tank gets to that point u have again in the picture, I go to fill it up, and it only takes 11gal before it's full. In my 2.3 the best I've gotten on a full tank was 388.

Yeah, that's how I calculate it. I fill up drive untilled the light comes on, record it then fill up ASAP, and record how much it took to fill up. Its always right at 11 and 11.5 gallons.

When I drive, the light will come on, stay on for about 10-15miles, then I can slowly watch the needle go up until the light turns off. Another 10-15miles then the light comes back on, but when the light comes on it means you usually have about 2 gals left for reserve, so If you're filling it up asap after the light comes on, you could get more. I know you don't wanna be stuck on the side of the road, but try for a little more next time.

Good job man. What trans. are you pushing around? A Manual or an Auto?

I got a 07 ZX3 SES MTX w/ SAP and just knocked down 29.98 MPG last week. I drive a lot of county roads... not really city not really interstate. The best I've gotten on the interstate has been close to 33mpg... and best I have gotten in ALL city has been 26-27mpg. I have tried and tried to break 30MPG between work and home and I just cannot do it. I try to drive as nice a possible and just can't break that 30MPG mark. Even if I ONLY drive my ZX3 to work and home and no where else... I just can't break 30mpg.

I think I could get better with a Old School Focus bullet-nose vs the SAP... most guys think the SAP acts as an air catch... which is probably true because I get worse MPG when its windy out....

Automatic trans. That week was about 90% freeway at 60 to 65 MPH. My wife has a 07 ZX4, she drives 100% city and only gets about 22MPG. But she only drives 5 miles to work so a whole tank lasts her 2 weeks.
