Lincoln LS V8..

Hi folks,

This weekend close friends of my parents were at the cottage visiting, and there trying to sell there Lincoln due to the fact that there an older couple (late 80's) and they have too many cars to drive. Anyway, the car was bought in Naples Fl. brand new, it lived down there for 2 years being driven for 6mos a year, then they moved it to Toronto were it was only used only in the summer since. Money is not an issue with these people and it shows with this car, it has as been maintained to no end. The car is prefect in every way and they have offered it to me a a price that is hard to pass.
The car has 60,000km and has every option that can be had.

So now I'm debating do I sell my trusty 07 ZX3 SAP Foci for an 03 Lincoln?

Has any one every had experiance with these cars? Any major issues that should be checked? I drove the car, and it rides, and shifts like new.

Any way here are the pics..

Also, the price I was offered is far less than whats being asked.

Thanks.

I drive a Town Car(L) for work, and although it's a wonderfully comfortable and reliable vehicle(210,000 miles, no major issues), I wouldn't want to foot the gas bill on it for a DD. Also, the Lincoln doesn't have that "fun factor" that the Focus does.

If you have to sell the Focus, I'd say no, but if you can buy it and keep the Focus, go for it.

the ls is a nice car, i have one. but around 80000 to 100000 miles, the valve cover seals go bad and need replaced. and with that all the coil packs. but i would go with them they are not that great on gas. if you have a short drive to work then sure. and they have a little fun factor but i wouldn't get rid of the focus to buy it. i get around 19 miles to a gallon, and you need to buy 91 plus gas for it so its not cheap to drive. and tires are not cheap. around 200 a tire. so its a costly upgrade.

I thought it took premium gas.

With that said, its a beautiful looking car. I've always loved the LS and I think it still looks so much better than the MKZ. Its too bad they killed it off. I'd still take it over a brand new MKZ.

I would stick with the focus, the LS was notorious for reliability issues, specifically electrical problems. Plus the poor fuel economy, plus the fact that your insurance is going to be higher.

Stick with the Focus.
