Goodbye focus?

I purchased my first ever focus almost 4 months ago. To this day, I still don't have a title for it from the dealer so I cannot register it and get plates on it. Lucky for me my cousin own's his own dealership and I have somebody to go to for questions about the workings of the car business. Apparently he says I can return the car and get all my money back that I've put into the car (close to $4,000). I have already filed a dealer complaint with the state licensing board, now just hoping to return the car. The lack of HP in these cars is a big factor in wanting to get back into a WRX, maybe even a SAAB 9-3. So far, the focus experience just isn't what I thought it would be

I do miss my old 04 Rex I had, AWD is awesome, but the SAAB...well, it has to be the most comfortable car seat I have ever sat in, and it has an extra gear (6 spd) which could help on the highway.

I have no idea why I don't have a title. State law says they must provide one 30 days after purchase, in about another week or two it will be 120 days. I've talked to them numerous times and it's always the same thing...."we're working on it, we can't find it, just to go the DMV and get another temp tag"

I'm really hoping I can get out of this car, I was in such a hurry to get out of my gas sucking 86 300ZX Turbo I just signed away when the paper work came and then realized I just paid twice what the car was worth

Posted via FF Mobile Sounds like you bought from a shady dealership. Take them to court.

If I wasn't leaving with a title, I wouldn't be leaving with a car.

I don't technically get the title yet, I did finance the car, but they were supposed to get a dealer title from the dmv and submit some paper work so I could register the car under my name. The thing I don't understand is how they can sell a car that they don't have a title to??? I would take them to court but I signed a paper during the whole thing that says I agree to arbitrate any disputes through some 3rd party BS. I'm just having a hard time finding a lawyer that knows about auto laws and would be of use in this mess. I figure I'll probably have to sue them to get any of my money back, they'll probably just try and take the car back and run.

Very sticky situation. It sounds like part buyer's remorse and part shady used car dealer.

I'd call around for consultations with a few reputable firms. Don't get too discouraged, many items people put in contracts can't be held up in court anyways.
