How is Bluetooth working in 2012 for everyone?

I have a Samsung Epic 4G (Android) phone. It's not on the list of compatible phones, but it seems to work just fine for most features.

However, I would say that about 1 out of every 4 calls I make, the other person can't make out what I'm saying. They say there's too much background noise. The other 75% of the people say I sound crystal clear. The quality of the calls don't seem to correlate with road noise, just what type of mood the car is in when I place the call.

How has everyone else's experiences been so far?

Tony

iPhone 4 running iOS version 4.3.3.
I've only had one problem, and that was that the car wouldn't see the phone even though it was paired and had previously been connecting without a problem. The fix was to restart the phone -- it connected immediately after it settled in from the restart.

I've had that problem, too.

I currently connect my iPhone to my radio for music, but I can't use it for talking, and I refuse to talk on the phone without a hands free system while driving. Does the bluetooth work for both playing music and answering calls?

Yes. The "phone" is always active once its paired so any incoming calls will be responded to automatically, and you can place calls using voice or the wheel controls or the touch screen. Music playback over bluetooth will only happen when you select the audio input mode to be "BST1".
Personally, I rarely use bluetooth streaming audio because it is a battery killer. My primary audio source is an iPod connected via USB cable.

i just picked my 2012 focus on saturday. no problems with connecting my iphone 4 (on 4.3.3) via bluetooth or usb (although it took me longer than it should have to fig out how to see playlists, artists, songs, etc on the screen via usb).

I use bluetooth streaming audio for short trips and it works great with my music and even pandora. I only wish it could show what was playing on the screen - that would be great. Oh well, maybe with a future update?

I've been using an iPhone 4 and have had no problems streaming audio via bluetooth or USB. Calls are very clear, and the people on the other end of the conversation say the same thing. I've only experienced an issue with having to re-pair the phone to sync if I turn the radio off before the connection is made. So something to think about since the radio always turns on whenever you start up the car. Instead of turning the radio off when the car starts, just turn the volume all the way down and you won't risk having to re establish the Bluetooth connection.

Now all I have to do is figure out this whole netflix thing...
