Extended Warranty on 2012

Did anyone decide to purchase an extended warranty? Anyone have experiences using fordwarrantys.com , any issues making a claim, etc ? I can't tell if this is an official site of Ford or 3rd party.

http://www.fordwarrantys.com/

I configured using the site above for the $0 deductible premium care plan 6 yr / 60k for $845 a couple weeks ago.

Im pretty sure Im going to go through with it if my quote is still the same as long as I hear good feedback on the experience.s

It is a Ford ESP warranty sold by a Ford Dealer. They usually have better prices than your local dealer.

While I was closing the deal in the finance office (I paid cash outright for the car), my dealer offered me PremiumCare (72 month/75,000 miles, standard $100 deductible) for $985.00 (no sales tax). I took them up on the offer since I'd been pricing the warranty and the website price on the same package was just over $1000.

I purchased the 6 yr/100K on my 2006 ST. I'd see if there was a higher mileage plan available. 60K can come up fast. Finally, it will be money well spent as even one ESP claim can cover the cost.

Have you had to use the warranty, yet? If so, were there any issues with the dealer covering the repair?

I have not used the warranty on this car just yet. This Focus has been pretty much problem free. On previous cars all I had to pay was the $100 deductable and everything was fine from there. On a few occaisons where a rent a car was part of the deal I had to wait until the second day of shop time to have the rent a car covered. The Ford ESP is the one want, not some 3rd party no name warranty.

I'm waiting to purchase an extended warranty when the 3 year 36000 mi B to B is close to expiring. It may cost a little more, but I'm not spending money, or paying interest for something I'm not going to use.

I haven't purchased an extended warranty until I bought my 2012 Focus. The amount or tech and things that are new on the vehicle gives me anxiety. After having to take my car back to the dealer for a repair after 10 hours, I am glad I have the piece of mind.

I was conisdering buying the ESP during the closing, finance dropped the price to 1300 (still more than i wanted to spend) so i opted out. I plan on buying it later, as the previous person said I don't wanna pay interest on something i wont use. However someone mentioned USAA has an extended warranty plan I can purchase. 7yr 100k for around 700 bucks sounds tempting. Has anyone gone this route?

Finance offered me 0% on my ESP and knocked down the price. I got them to treat it as a separate bill, so I get one statement from Ford Credit and another from my ESP plan, this way I'm not paying interest on the plan. Wouldn't say yes until the guy offered me service on the car every 7,500 miles for 5 years for free.
