Injuries while working on cars

Thought i'd start a new thread for people to post stories, pictures or both about injuries they have received while working on cars. I'll start.

Was working on a 93 Corolla at work and was trying to separate some wire loom from the airbox where it was clipped on. Slipped and sandwiched my finger between the airbox and a hydraulic line and tore half my fingernail off. Hurt and bled like hell. Heres a nice pic after it was all cleaned up.

Lets see/hear your stories! Im off to soak this in epsom salts...

Someone post the link to the thread where the guy ripped off some of his fingers down to the second knuckle when trying to clean his motorcycle chain whilst it was running. They call him stubby something now.

Nasty.

I once broke the tip of my ring finger hammering a harmonic balance onto a 302 for my old 65 Mustang.

Well for the most part busted/cut up knuckles
Cut the back of my hand down to the white meat
About 4 inches long when I was cutting a muffler off
I thought it was on the hanger but it was not
Once the cut all the way the muffler feel down
And cut the s#it out my hand..

Then once I took a wire wheel to the back of my
Hand after it slipped getting some rust out
My 65 mustang

lets see ive had plenty of abrasions and gouges knots on my head you name it. The one story that sticks out in my memory the most would have to be, me and my teacher (i took auto collison technology) were using a porta power between the cowl and the radiator support of a wrecked kia to push the radiator support back into place. The porta power came un wedged from where it was and shot across the engine bay broke the hood prop and the coolant reservoir. not sure whether it was the porta power hitting my hand or the hood slamming on it but i ended up with a few broken bones in my hand

mostly cuts/scratches, a few burns.

did have a trans end up on my chest but didn't really hurt.

worst would be doing door pins on my friends cougar and my fingers got pinched and cracked the nail and made it bleed.

worst i have seen was my auto teacher in high school. you know those springs on an air chisel, right threw the center of his hand.

funniest thing that could have went bad. someone was drilling a stud out the bit snapped and the wire held the trigger down as the drill got all twisted and crap in another guys pants near his crotch.

I have never hurt my self really bad, cuts and burns are common.

At my previous job there were only 2 people there, me and my boss. I was doing brake lines on one of the hod rods, and my boss decided to go get a part across town. So, i was there by my self cutting out the old lines. I let go of one and it sprung back in to place, which sprayed brake fluid all over the place, including both of my eyes. So, i stumbled and felt my way across the shop to the sink. knocked a bunch of stuff over and made a mess. After a little water my eyes were better but still stinging. Brake fluid in the eyes hurts, really really bad.
