For Ford wagon lovers

Focus wagon meets big brother

New Focus wagon is slowly showing up in the showrooms.

Trend = SE trim

And some lucky owners already have their wagons (lucky bastards)

It appears the new 1.6L EcoBoost 150hp and 180hp are by far the most popular as far as what posters in Focus forums in Europe are purchasing, plus Titanium spec is selling big time.

I have a feeling the EcoBoost powertrain popularity in Europe is surprising Ford exec's , as Ford diesel powered cars have been strong sellers.

Simple answer.

They are willing to pay for it.

Too few people want a wagon here in the US.
Honestly, I know I'm part of the problem, as I really don't like wagons, but I do think it's a shame. Wagons could replace SUVs for 99% of SUV owners, they're more fuel efficient, and they're safer. You know what? They look better too.

Don't blame Ford, blame your fellow Americans.

On this forum alone, how many times have you read posts from people whining about the price. While it seems most of us want those features, few are actually willing to pay for them. A lot of people seem to want it for free or not at all. And if they can't/won't pony up the $$$ then no one else should have it either, and they think it shouldn't even be offered as an option then.

Times are changing though, and hopefully will only be a matter of time as we see gas prices get even higher.

I just don't get the whining about the price of the Focus. It's not like there is a huge difference in the price of the base models. If you don't want to pay $25K for a Focus, you don't have to buy a $25K Focus.

If it was available, I would have been all over an EcoBoost 1.6 Titanium wagon with the HIDs. Damn American car buyers that hate wagons...
