Well, I've decided to keep my current car for a while longer...

But the Focus is still at the top of my list for replacements.

I'd really love to join the Focus Fanatics but it just doesn't make sense financially right now. My car is paid for and it only has 101,000 miles on it, I'm the original owner and it has been well maintained and it has been one of the best cars I've ever owned.

I'll still lurk here and see how the new Focus develops over the next year.

I am looking to upgrade this though...I'm thinking 2012 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO.

Question

IMO, The wisest choice you can make right now if your car is paid off is to keep it and not buy a new car instead make payments to yourself for the next few years as if you bought a car and financed. Just for sake of discussion $400X60=$24,000 in the bank. The car industry has changed this past couple years but its only the beginning, major technical changes and better MPG will come in the next 2-5 years. Be patient save your loot unless you really need a car. Look into buying Green company stocks. BTW that Maxima looks good and well taken care of so enjoy being payment free!
