They are cheaper usualy do to buying the cheaper gas. Just go to shell or chevron they have some of the best gas on the market in most places. But if you keep your services like induction and fuel services, then I would go with shell but chevron is the best just cause of the techron in it.

All fuels kinda suck cause they aren't what they should be but chevron and shell use a better quality or go through better refining processes chevron uses a tiny bit of techron with helps. Any fuel station that says ther gas cleans injectors thou is BS cause top tier fuel only means they have enough detergent in it to help a tiny bit shells commercial where it shows a clean valve isnt true it wont. however proper inductions services and a can of 44k in the tank will do what they say look it up on YouTube.

I'm not sure about where you are from but the vast majority (aka all) gas stations around here are locally owned franchises. They buy gas from whomever whenever, and usually from whichever truck is cheapest. It doesn't matter which station you buy your gas from because its all cheap. I just run injector cleaner every oil change or so to make sure the "cheap" doesn't get out of control.

BP uses EPA guidelines for additives in their regular grade gasoline and obviously have their own refineries. Circle K uses many different brands of gas like Union 76, Valero, Marathon, Exxon-Mobil, etc...

That said, it may also help to know Fuel Transport drivers can either use bulk terminals or branded terminals depending what they're filling up with. They may use a bulk terminal and fill up with the additives from a separate holding tank. Sometimes the additives run out for a particular brand, and drivers will have to then go to the branded terminal for the additives. Most of the myths surrounding cheap gas, like getting it from the bottom of the tank are just passed around by the ignorant. While I prefer to use Shell, Chevron or BP (premium), or any other top tier brand for the added detergent, I don't think it's really necessary at all.

Shell, BP, Chevron, etc all are REQUIRED to use the detergent package in their fuels. If caught selling unbranded gas their right to use the name brand will be pulled from them. Im not saying it doesnt happen, but its pretty rare for someone to gamble over a few cents a gallon with their brand name.
