Hey us mtx guys...

what do YOU usually bring your rpm's up to for a normal take off 2k? anything less and the car will fall flat on its face i've noticed. Personally I bring her up to 2k and let the clutch out slowly or 2300. I can feel the weight transfer backwards at about 2300 rpms.

Um, if you know your clutch, you can take off on flat pavement without even using the throttle. It's best to let the clutch out using the least amount of gas, wears less clutch and makes a smoother takeoff.

Edit: I have 117,xxx on my stock clutch and it still doesn't slip. I also have multiple engine mods.

Depends on if I'm caught unawares at a light. If I am watching the light and I see it turn yellow and prepare to go I can get going at about 1,200 or so. If I'm caught unawares and the light changes on me I'm close to 2,000.

Same here, I'm on original clutch for my 2.3l with some mods, and I'm right around 117k. I would say I am a aggressive drive some times. But as long as you know how to work a clutch correctly, then you can make em last while having fun.

As far as at a light, I wait until the light turns green and then drop it, I don't rev up high and then drop it or anything, and most times if I got the HP to beat em, I do, and I usually just getting the tires to squeak but not break traction.
