European HID for American '12 Focus

My first modification as soon as I get my brand new Focus is getting my hands on the European HIDs Headlights which are not available for the American Focus, not having these babies come on the American focus makes me sad

My question for anyone familiar with the subject how easily would it be to install the European HIDs on an American focus? I will have no problems getting my hands on them, I just was curious if the European HIDs were compatible or I'd have to get everything re-wired?

Thanks.

First off, and I think everyone is going to want to know this. Where are you getting them from, and how much?
Also, would there be warranty issues?

Second, I remember reading somewhere of people doing this with the Fiesta as well. There was some slight issues with regards to the housing for the projectors causing the depth of the headlight to be longer, and therefore not fitting 100%. I heard it was a fairly easy fix, but I assume that it would be the same issue for the Focus.
Also, the LED lights would not have the wiring right there as the DRL here would be connected to the high beams. I don't know how hard that would be, but I can't imagine it to be too hard.

I'd be getting them Europe as I usually travel to Spain every year and would be getting them from a cousin who works for a Ford dealership over there and has said he would help me in getting one. As far as price, I would expect 200-250 euros for the pair which is roughly $300-350 USD or so. AFAIK, modification such as headlights should not be an issue in terms of warranty especially since it's an OEM product but I'm not sure about that.

On my Volkswagen I got European OEM HIDs w/Fogs and simply needed to get the light switch and a fog light wiring harness kit but had a friend do it all I am pretty stupid when it comes to electrical stuff so I usually let my tech junkie friends help with all the installation and parts lol so I have no idea what it would take.

HERE HERE! At that price I'd tack on an extra $200 to line your pocket.

Why? HIDs blind everyone else on the road, and the illumination isn't that much of an improvement.

Awesome. I would think it would be a similar process as wiring up machs on a non-hid 00-04 focus.

Your going to have to figure out how to get them to work.

I doubt it will be completely plug and play.

This is what I had a feeling about.. I will let everyone know when I get more information so subscribe to this thread.

As far as the LED taillights... I'm not a big fan of the pictures I have been seeing I need to see them in person or some video of them at night before I consider getting those.
