Survey of dealership ordered 2012 Foci

Hey fanatics,

I posted this in another thread, but thought that others may want to check it out. I had a few minutes to kill, and decided to survey all the dealership ordered 2012 Foci within a 20 mile radius of me (Long Beach, CA). Here's what I came away with during my research:

-There were 70 2012 Foci ordered within just 20 miles of me.
-The average price of all 70 was $22,257.
-The standard deviation of the price was +/- $2,331
-The most expensive Focus was $27835
-The least expensive Focus was $18090
-The most common color ordered by dealerships was sterling grey
-The most common trim level was the Hatchback SE (I found this surprising)

I'll leave you folks to make some of your own conclusions with the two graphs I've attached below. Note about the graphs: the numbers within each pie piece = percentage of total, not total number.

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to rearrange the data and crunch the numbers for ya.

-B

Yea! It was a Red Candy Hatch Titanium, with damn near everything you could have on the thing.

After taxes and licensing, you're lookin into the $30s...

its a car that can compete with that price range vehicle now. it has awesome gas milage and the handling of a car that cost way more. I think that the new focus is definetly a class leader.

Any way you re-do the colors in the chart? It's very hard to tell the difference between some on the pie chart.

I thought that too, but if you look closely you'll see they go clockwise from the top.

Interesting that so many hatches were ordered. Also, I wonder if I should get something other than sterling grey...

I'll rework the colors later today for you guys. I had that thought about switching my color too Keith. I absolutlely love the sterling grey metallic, and i guess the dealerships do to. I just think that its a safer color to order and have on the lot than yellow blaze, or even blue candy for example. I think it's simply for mass appeal, so I'm stickin with my grey!

I'll update soon,

Thanks for the pies. I'm in the Blue Candy part of the chart but then I always want to be different.

And ST 2K5, Horsepower cost $$$.
