Toyota Fails..Again.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/41756436...tos/?GT1=43001

Quote: "The company paid the U.S. government a record $48.8 million in fines for its handling of three recalls."

Is this neglect for the safety of their customers? To me it sounds like theyre out for a buck, and they dont care what kind of crap they throw off the line.

I listened to a phone call to 911 from a toyota owner who said his gas pedal is stuck and that he was on the highway doing 98 MPH and couldnt slow down. He had 4 passangers with him..all of them died. Its pretty sad to me that Toyota is so neglectful. I know I wont be a customer of theirs in the future.

I love how all of there ads there running are just pictures of brakes and cars stopping.

They don't give a Flying Eff what the pump out of there lines, they are all about the dollar bills. I remember when they got in to a lot of trouble in Japan for something crazy like 1500 counts of Human trafficking. They are pretty much using slave labor in there plants in Japan.

I'd buy a Toyota in a heartbeat if I was in the market.

If you can make a phone call, you have time to slow down. I don't care if the gas petal was stuck, you can still pop it in neutral, or shut the engine down. (C&D tested it) don't go blaming the manufacturer because somebody does not know how to operate their machinery. If they did not pick up the phone i might think differently.

I dont know if the phone call was real or not. But the article is self-exclamatory. Even after 3 recalls, you would think they would fix the problem for good right?

NASA ruled out any electrical faults. The new recall is about the floor mats. Which in my experience is lazy owners. I see floor mats pushed in and bunched up all the time. mostly in the gross uncleaned cars. To fix it MOVE THE STUPID G MAT. I work on SAAB's so the issue might not be the same. there is no SAAB recall.

I don't think there is any negligence on Toyota's part they are expanding the recall. to prevent any more accidents.

and this was in the article op posted "Toyota spokesman Brian Lyons said the company was unaware of any accidents or injuries related to the new recalls."
