Curbed my car

so the snow moved in and naturally that makes everyone who doesn't drive in it all the time freak-out. But thatís beside the point. In ten words or less i curbed my car, it was a slopped curb not the normal 90 degrees, but should i be worried about anything, once the weather clears up Iím gonna see if the alignment is out and if the tires are still balanced, anything else?

How hard was the hit?
If your car tracks straight and your steering wheel is not off id say your fine other than a curbed rim

well it was slow, less than 15, luckly the rims arn't scratched so i don't think it's as bad as i first thought. I went to look at the curb, can't tell where i hit, snowing too much. if anything comes up then i'm gonna go, but as of right now everything looks fine.

You have an SES with the 17s and you hit a curb that didn't damage the rim? If so i'd be willing to bet money you are fine. It was probably just a small lump of a curb

Could be OK....
Wait until you've got a good clean road, then see how it feels. Do a visual inspection underneath as well. Advisory: A lot of times suspension components can be been so slightly that you can't see any damage. If you're not at all sure, get the alignment checked.

BTW, got a family friend at your air base. He's in base security, I think.

You should be fine, I would just take it to a local tire shop and have your tires checked, balanced and rotated. Im glad you didnt do anymore damage than you could have!

Maybe ill be coming to your AFB sometime this year. I do basic in August. Whats your MOS?

Yea just check everything out, you could have bent a tie rod, but the steering wheel would be slightly off a bit. My girl ran into a curb last year and bent her tie rod which is usually the first thing to bend. Check that lower control arm too, they can be bent if you hit hard enough.

Which wheel hit first? Front or back wheel.
