quirks with my 10.....

For one my shift light works when it wants to....I thought it was supposed to illuminate under wot too....? mine doesnt only under half throttle shifting conditions...also my passenger side airbag off light works when it wants too..whenever I have something in the passenger seat it only illuminates off so does that mean it's always on?

Posted via FF Mobile The shift light is for the best shifting for economy, which is why it doesnt turn on at wot. And the airbag light illuminates when the airbag is not active. If it says off when someones in the seat then theres a problem....if not then theres nothing wrong.

It's a multi-stage air bag for your safety. IMO they shouldn't even put a light in there, but then if someone had to replace a $1500 passenger side front air bag because they got in a minor bump in a parking lot after picking up a 12 pack, then that person would likely complain that there wasn't a warning.

Complain if there is a light, complain if there isn't- what do you do?

BTW, questions like this are covered in the owner's manual. Don't feel bad, I didn't know how to turn on the fog lights, so I felt like a real jerk when I went to the dealer to ask how to do it. Of course, that is in the owner's manual as well.

Posted via FF Mobile Yea, its not likely to happen, but u never know...put stuff on the floor so they dont slide around. And so if you get hit and the airbags go off, your not looking at thousanda more in damage and parts because the pass airbag deployed and smashed your windshield...which is what happens and why its not active when it doesnt sense someone in the seat.

My light turns off when there's noone and nothing on the seat after a brief on for a few seconds. It's so the light isn't always on and annoying.

If something heavyish is on the seat and the seat belt is not on the off light will come on.
If someone is in the seat and the seatbelt is on and they lean over forward or some awkward position it will trigger the OFF light too
