Car + Salt = Uh Oh

Hey guys, I think I did worst mistake of going out last night. There was SALT EVERYWHERE and my car has never seen winter, I got caught in the middle of some freezing rain and in back of some salt trucks on a 1 lane road. It was too late to go wash my car and there wasn't any manual DIY car washes available. The next day I got my car washed at a car wash. They washed the wheel wells and and waxed my car. Should I be worried about the undercarriage on my 01 Focus?

Bad night to go out. :(

Dude unless you drive a Lancia, you really don't have to worry about ONE night of salt driving. You cleaned it off immediately, and that's what counts.

Rust takes a few years to take over your car.

OH my god you need to replace every nut, bolt, and support assembly under the vehicle ASAP!

lol..... I don't mean that in bad taste either btw. I just remember that was something someone on another forum was told by their dealership (they live in California, the vehicle was from Michigan or something.) because their undercarriage was rusty.

But to be serious, don't worry about it. My car has been (according to the history) a Michigan and Utah car.... lots of road salt ever since it was born.

besides, I'm sure it didn't look like this anyway (I didn't wash it off for about half a week lol. very sexy clean now.)

Add some dirt road to that....

(hah I knew I could slip in some dirty foci pictures somewhere! )

Because this is still super secret... I got my eyes on a set of Raceland coilovers to put on after I fix up my Merkur XR4ti wheels this summer...
Yeah I can't believe I let it get so dirty. lol. it was fun to rally behind the Highway Patrol car though

well I might as well post this clean pic then.... nothing new to it, save for different tires.

(figured I may as well do a pics dump)
It's not the prettiest but I sure love the depth in it when it shines :)
