Question focus srs air bags HELP!

In reading a Mitchell crash book it shows to replace the air bags, the computer, the seat belts, and the instrument cluster. Can anyone tell me why i would have to replace the seat belts or instrument cluster?

Because it is federal safety laws, I believe. When a car gets in an accident, there are certain things that are mandatory to be replaced.

Like the seat belts have those locks to stop the shoulder strap when it moves real fast, they say replace that stuff just because next time it may fail. It's just a cover your ass kinda thing.

I know more than one person that has replaced the airbag sensors and they haven't deployed. I wouldn't even mess with the airbag sensors. Even if it is done professionally it might not work. This will save some money because those things aren't cheap.

From just getting my car back from a front end collision. They had to replace all that because it was mandatory. They didn't replace the guage cluster however. The seat belts and mounts for the seats and all that was replaced however. My airbags did deploy.
