Is MkIII too big?

(MkII stands for EU model - C1)
Alright MkIII is:
Length 178.7 in / 4538 mm
Width 71.9 in / 1826 mm
Height 58.1 in / 1477 mm
Wheelbase 104.2 in / 2648 mm
While MkII is:
Lenght 170.9 / 4342
Width 72.4 / 1840
Height 56.9 / 1447
Wheelbase 103.9 / 2640
------------------------------
MkIII is 7.7 in / 196 mm longer than MkII, 0.5 in / 14 mm narrower than MkII and 1.1 in / 30 mm higher than MkII. And wheelbase is 0.3 in / 8 mm bigger.

Now, what do you think, will it affect handling, MkI handles well but it's really a small car. MkII is kind in a middle, you know, it looks perfect/it drives perfect - enough long, enough tall. But new MkIII looks too big, Sedan is OK but this hatchback looks really BIG. Kind a clumsy, I really hope that Ford will change body for 3 door model.

What do you think? Is it better for hatchback to be in MkII or MkIII size?

Because this Lancer Sportback looks really awful, it's 180.5 in / 4585 mm long.
It's even longer than Sedan version and I don't like it

Wait for the upcoming Geneva show, see what specs are listed.

I think the specs you listed are for the sedan/saloon.

Also my feeling is the EU Focus will have slight differences.

What double post?
These are hatchback dimensions and my question is not about EU version of mkIII it's what about HATCHBACK's HANDLING when they are THIS BIG - same as sedans.

I agree! People who have seen the all new 2012 Focus in person say the samething that it definitely is smaller than the pictures represent. It looks like a compact car.

I, too thought the Taurus was this really huge car until I saw one in person. Don't get me wrong, the new Taurus is big but not bloated or anything like that. It's a really gorgeous car!

Shown below is the length of various C-segment cars (sedans) sold here in the U.S.:

2010 Ford Focus = 175"
2012 Ford Focus = 178" (projected)

2010 Chevrolet Cobalt = 180.3"
2010 Honda Civic = 177.3"
2010 Hyundia Elantra = 177.4"
2010 Toyota Corolla = 178.7"
Mazda 3 = 180.7"
VW Jetta = 179.3"

Right now the current Focus is the smallest (shortest) of the group. The new 2012 Focus it will be comparable in size to everyone else in the C-segment.

The double post was my double post, for some reason when I entered my post I ended up with 2 posts.

Also notice that the spec info on the Ford Media site states that this is Preliminary Vehicle Specifications, and also if you click on the Eurowide "technical specifications icon there is "zero" information list as of yet. http://www.newfordfocusmedia.com/

Z-interactive, Ford EU makes damn good driving cars, I don't think you have to worry that this new Focus will not please. Ford has stated that they have lowered the H-points (driver position) plus the car is sitting lower then the current stock Focus.
