Honda owners irritate me (me and my friends convo)

Friend: dude im at 1869 (tax refund), im gonna rape SC svt focus tits off

Me: idc its a civic, its gonna be aother generic and cliche civic that anybody and everybody has. it will have no unique thing about it.

Fried: idc its potential is why i have it, not because every mexican has on, i could care less about how cliche it is, power anda nice paint job is all im going for lol

Me: if you want power then yuo picked the wrong car, yes you will have a good power to weight ratio but overrall power no.
get a good paint job but who cares nobody will be able to tell anything apart from your car and the guy in a civic hatch parked right next to you. your just gonna be another honda civic that is some what fast. i like to be able to go somewhere and say 'nice car' and ask about it or comment on it, not look at it and have them think they ahve seen that car before and dont care.

Friend:ya idc about what people think of my car though, i have my cars for adrenaline and racing, not to take my car to shows or care what anyone thinks about it.

Me: turns and just walks away.

i dont understand, every civic i see looks basically the same or has the same concept behind it.
some CF bits and some engine swap or turbo or something that makes 210wtq and 350whp.

like why do honda owners want to just be like other hondas.

i mean yes i want to be like a MK1 rs but it takes dedication to convert and put the effort into making my car look like a rs.
but its something you dont see 3 times during your morning drive to work or etc.

i want to respond to his last text but its not worht the effort.

why can honda owners want their minds and ideas to be in their car instaed of the same jdm bs thats everywhere.

sorry for my rant but sometimes jdm gayness pisses me off.

Eh, it depends on the honda owner. Your friend would be the douche kind. I'm friends with alot of honda guys and have gone to several clubintegra and cb7tuner meets. The ones I hang out with are all great guys and show alot of respect to my Focus because they respect it for what it is, as I do for their hondas. The unfortunate reality is that 80% of Honda tuners aren't like that.

It's just how it is. Somewhere along the line something happened which caused the Honda to be what it is now. Fast N Furious movies? or what?

I love how every Honda guy I meet trashes my car. I take them for a ride and they love it. It's funny, I see Hondas as training wheels for the performance car world

I've got a Honda friend, who actually has a insanely clean Honda, thank goodness. He has shown me videos of the insannne builds, like big boost, big hp civics that are actually clean, and well built. It seems like rice is starting to fade, a little, and clean is coming in, finally. I would def consider one after seeing what he has shown me, they are sooo easy to make a lot of power, plus parts are everywhere. I really like my focus though, don't get me wrong, I like the euro ish roots its got. But the majority of the civic community seem to be total idiots too...I heart rice

Last time I checked, you could build a Civic for alot cheaper then you can a Focus... Granted that alot of them are douchebags, I don't think you can judge a car and its potential by the way others mod it. IF you don't like how they mod it, thats cool. No ones going to force you to put 17"s on a car that comes with 14"s stock. However, you can turbo a civic on a budget because there are so many competing companies for turbo kits for Civics. Without building your own, kits run, what is it, 2500+ for the Dura? I wouldn't know, because I wouldn't DREAM of turboing and the automatic that I have (LOL).

By the way, I'm not claiming to have a car worth bragging over, but most of the cars in this forum are next to stock and spend more money of aesthetic mods then anything else. This is probably because there is so little available for alot of owners (duratec for sure) who don't have 500 to spend on a freaking exhaust.

Thats one of the main reasons why people mod those popular cars. shit is cheap for them. It irritates me that someone can judge another person based on the car they want to mod.

How many Focus's do you see throwing good numbers? I'd guess 85% of the members here have NOTHING to brag about in their car, me included. I'd also guess that a good portion has modded a different brand of car (or even a different Ford) and ENJOYED IT, whether or not other people have modded the same car.

And don't even get me started on all Hondas looking the same, with all the SVT nutswinging we have going on here.
