Thumbs up Choose My Daily Driver (or nutkick)

I need some opinions here from you fellow car enthusiasts on a new daily driver for myself. I've been bouncing ideas for a new car off of my GF for a few weeks now and of course she doesn't get why I would want half of the cars I am going to list. I currently have a 06 H3 and a 02 SVTF. I am selling the H3 as I don't need something this big and do not go offroading as much as I would like. I am committed to not DDing the SVT, so try to keep that in mind when providing your opinions. I live in St. Louis, so we do not get much snow at all, so I won't necessarily need something that can handle the snow. Also, I drive back to Iowa at least once a month (5 hour drive each way), so I'd like something that can cruise easily.

So here is a list of the cars I have considered so far. I do not want to spend much more than $12k and do not want something with over 60k miles on it.

1. 2004-2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP Comp G
Good: A lot of car for the money IMO. Leather heated seats, 260HP supercharged engine, paddle shifters. I used to own a 05 Grand Am GT and loved it. I don't think the GTP would be much different (in terms of me loving it).
Bad: None yet, but that's why I'm looking for input from you guys! If you owned one, let me know the bad parts of it.

2. 2002 BMW 330 XI
Good: AWD, HID Headlights, Leather Seats. I have a friend that has his 2002 330 XI over 150,000 miles and it still runs like it has 50k miles on it. He has nothing but good things to say about the car, but maintenance is a bit pricey.
Bad: I've been finding it hard to find a 330 with less than 80K within my price range, but they last a long time from what I've heard.

3. 2003-2004 Mustang GT
Good: Cheaper price, leather seats, enough HP for me. I've always wanted one ever since I've seen them.
Bad: RWD. Not really something I want to deal with if there is snow on the ground. Doesn't seem like a car that would be great for long drives either. But I have always wanted one.

4. 2007 Mustang GT
Good: My dad owned one and I loved it. Again, plenty of HP for me.
Bad: RWD again. But it is comfortable.

5. 2004 Ford Focus Wagon
Good: I know the Focus better than any other cars. I have always wanted to pimp out a wagon as well (SVT front and rear?).
Bad: Not a lot, but it's not as much car as the others listed IMO.

What do you guys/gals think? If you've owned any of these, let me know if they were your DD, any facts I should be aware of, etc. Any help is much appreciated and rep will be rewarded!

EDIT: Forgot to "allow multiples", so only vote for one. Poll creation fail...and I forgot to say Focus wagon. I need a nutkick.

-Mike

NOTA

'97 Audi A4 Ok Ok I know, it's a V-dub. But it's a 1.8T, AWD so good for snow, and get's decent mileage.

EDIT: Just noticed you said you wanted something with less than 60k miles... May not be possible with this old of a car.

This is good! I forgot to mention, if there's a car that's not listed please list it! I am open to anything really (should have included NOTA in the poll too...damn!). I had a friend in college with a A4 and it was very nice! Haven't looked into one but should have!

I <3 my focus, but I used to own a gtp and those things are AMAZING, however i'm driving a focus because the gtp blew up. So as far as reliability, stick with ford.

A good friend of mine here in Maryland has an Audi A4 1.8T. It has 158k miles on it but running strong. He has an APR chip (16psi), borla exhaust, and STS. It has full leather interior and a complete bose sound system. The AWD plows through the snow like it's not even there and he still averages around 32mpg highway. I would say look into them.

How many miles did you have on your GTP before it went boom? I found some with 40k miles for around $11k.

You're right on this. I guess I've always wanted one so that's why I'm considering them. Not very practical though.

GTPs use flemsy ass cranks and rods (gotta love GM *sarcasm*) I've seen a many a GTP with bottom end problems, most commonly rod knock.
