Confused about my radio.

I just purchased the car about two days ago. I have the 2003 SVT with the EAP package, so I should have the Audiophile sound system right? Supposed to be a six disc CD player unit. I have the factory subwoofer in the back, so I know I have the Audiophile. Well I only see a cassette player in my dash. But there is a CD button on that head unit though, which confuses me. Do I load up the CD's somewhere else?

The guy who had the car I'm assuming before it was put on auction had some sort of system in it because there were speaker wires around the car going from the engine bay through the firewall going to the trunk and I saw speaker wire hanging out of the bottom of one of the front doors that I had to tuck back in. The front door speakers no longer work, nor does the stock sub in the trunk. So maybe the previous owner tore out his stuff and ran, and someone put a base line head unit in just to sell the car?

Input appreciated! ++rep

Sounds like your right. Check under the seats there may be a cd changer. If not many people are selling stock HU.

I would upgrade but I'd like to keep the steering wheel controls.

Anything aftermarket compatible?

It is possible with the proper adapter.

Posted via FF Mobile sorry didmt read ur whole post. Yup thats pretty much what happened. Or someone stole it out of the car. Kinda messed up that they didnt even put a decent radio in there. Also sounds like they did a hacked up job. My advice unless ur good with this thing take it to an audio place order some new parts from crutchfield and get it installed.

Nope...like I said the 6 disc changer was an indash unit. Its inside the whole deck. Not seperate like on some other older cars.
