Another Honda recall

Late 2009, Honda had to recall a buttload of Accords due to a airbag that was lethal (casing exploded sending shrapnel into peoples' faces). Now a defective switch which has caused a few fires.

Add insult to injury, http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/35142213...tos/?GT1=43001

646,000 recalled.

If ford was smart, advertisement consultants would gobble these recalls up on Toyota and Honda and advertise the quality of ford vehicles. My goodness these profitable car companies are finding them selfs in some shit. Go ford.... Any1 hear they're opening another plant? More jobs. Why doesnt the government support ford? Oh wait, cause they dont need it.

Ford +1
Other companies ehhh

Well actually.. when you try to pick on your competition for your own gain sort of makes you look bad.. Like GM is doing to Toyota, offering them extra stuff for trading one in

In all fairness, those Japanese manufacturers didn't bash domestic cars when they had their share of recalls. Personally I think it's respectable when the cars sell themselves and don't have to resort to political style bashing (which Chevy loves to do in their recent ads). I think Ford is returning the favor by playing it clean. Good for them.

Although... there are some exceptions. I enjoyed VW's ad for bashing the Prius with the Jetta TDI. It was actually kind of corny, but the message it sent was kickass.

Respectable? Yes. Good business practice? Eh, I mean the Big 3 have been licking their wounds for a while now. As long as they aren't outright making Toyotas to be dangerous cars then I don't have a problem with them telling potential customers that if they want to get rid of their Toyota then they'll give you a sweetened deal to get in a GM or Ford.
