Come to a realization-1yr with '09 Focus auto

Been driving it for one year-'09 Focus SE sedan auto.
And I've come to the realization that this car is the SLOWEST thing ever!

I like everything else about it.....especially the mpg's. But Lord this car is slow. Feel like I'm whipping an old horse. Thought it wouldn't bother me. It didn't at first. A manual would have helped.

Should have waited and gotten a 2010 Fusion Sport V6 or Escape V6. Oh well...at least I get 30mpgs.......

And no, I'm not going to bother modding this thing......unless it entails fitting a V6 in it.

yeah for this little engine, a manual would be the better choice. When I test drove the manual I felt like the clutch was too far to the right and it was awkward but I would have gotten used to it. Just didn't feel like shifting really.

I have noticed that the motor makes it's power around 2000rpm, however, an automatic needs lots of low end torque to really work well...something huge V8 engines are noticed for, but these new euro-jap car-engines are different.

I did notice this in my old Taurus (my focus is a manual), that if I kept the engine tuned and the tire pressures full it took care of the bottlenecks, and it was a very pleasant drive! Other than that they are very good handling cars, so there's something to love ;)

oh and by the way Fusion Sport V6 should be quicker (it being lighter and all) than the Escape V6.
I've driven around in the new Escape V6.. it aint too quick either or at least I don't think so lol
