hey man, welcome! First place to check out would be Kugel Komponents if are trying to do a v8 swap. Since your friend is a welder, he could probably whip up the parts a lot cheaper than you could buy them for

brilliant the project looks like a go-er all the mounts etc look fairly straight forward to make, my main problem is the availability of the mustang parts needed, but im sure we can make something else fit, i have yet to see a v8 focus here in the uk i think the price of fuel puts most people off as its over 5 per gallon or roughly $8

Welcome to FF! V8 swaps are always fun to hear about. Check out the engine/transmission swap board and I'm sure you'll find more help there.

Oh yeah, that is just something you very rarely hear about in Europe due to the petrol rates. Perhaps you can get the base plans and diagrams of what the Kugel components consist of and you can have your friend fabricate your own parts at a much cheaper rate. Then you would just have to figure out how to get the V8 shipped there if you can't find one locally. I know in my trips to Europe I have only seen about 3 Mustangs, 2 in Sweden that were owned by the same person and one in Italy so I know finding them there is possible but very difficult to find. And I am sure the person who is willing to sell the motor will want a high amount because they know that it's hard to get those motors there. Good luck with your venture and keep us updated if you begin this project.
