Thumbs up 200hp. Saturn ion redline

I just went to saturns web site and there new ion redline looks kinda cool. Says it has 200hp 2.0 litter engine with an intercooled supercharger. Makes me wonder if i should have waited to test drive one of these before i got my focus. Oh well i still like my svtf even if a saturn can run circles around it. Just makes me wish SVT would get there heads out of there butts and improve the svtf focus to be on top again.

why dont you go buy your own supercharger and do your own mods? you have a decent platfrom, sorry but i have to say why dont focus drivers get their heads out of their own butts and do some work.....w/ some of boost you could own that thing

I was reading about that, supposedly they will be using Honda Engines in one of the models. The Vue I think. Its a step in the right direction, but I still hate the looks of Saturn cars.

Yeah, Im not too keen on the Saturn looks either, but my mom has a 97 saturn 2 door (DOHC model). And I gotta say, the handling is nice, the seating in it is good, and its a pretty dependable car. My moms got about 130k miles on it and it still feels strong.

Yes they will be using Honda V-6's in the VUE, but what's so funny about it is the fact that Saturn was originally created to compete with Honda.

It's actually not that bad looking of a car. The spoiler on the back is a little bit much. But then again is the idea of a 200hp Saturn, I mean when they first came out they had about 90hp.

http://www.modernracer.com/saturnionredlinecoupe.html

heres what this site had to say
Competitors :
2000-2003 Toyota Celica GT-S
2003-2004 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT
2002-2003 Acura RSX Type-S

I think it will handle like a stock school bus. Just like the new Eclipses. It seems like all the other econosports cars' developers focused more on speed than handling. It looks like it has a lot of wheel gap. I give it an 8. I'm sure its fun & those dent resistant doors rule!

I saw a review of new cavalier with same engine, ran a mid-low 15's, ouch! You'd think they'd be faster than that.
