Question fuel shutoff

I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem:

The little piece of plastic covering the switchfor the fuel shutoff keeps falling off.

I'm afraid I'll lose it. It never seems to stay in place. I was thinking of trying to glue it down, but Murphy's law would make me regret it cause with my luck I would need to use it at some point and wouldn't be able to.

Any suggestions?

mine hasnt ever fell off, i guess glue would work but you might want to be careful when the inside of the car gets really hot the glue could fail or melt or something, just order a new part maybe?

the fuel shutoff switch, first of all, is actually a fuel pump reset. it is in all models and years. it is located on the right hand side of the passenger side footwell. (has a small picture of a gas pump with a line through it.) the vehichle has a feature that will shut off the fuel pump if your in an accident. it can somtimes be triggered if you really smoke a big pothole. the switch is used to turn the fuelpump back on if its been shut off due to an accident, or smokin a really big pothole....

If you can't get it to pop back in try a little CA ( crazyglue), it will hold the part , but it is brittle for an adhesive, and will break loose if you flex it, just thump it with your hand. If that fails I would see if some little tab is missing to hold it on......Dave, the only reason you are close to perfection, is that its your neighbor the USA ,j/k.
