The focus is dead :(

Alright, so any of you who read the thread knew I was in an accident way back in march, nothing too bad though. Got the car mostly repaired after it because the insurance company didn't do squat for me, and I was happy for a while.

31st of August, I'm going home after a good day, take a way that I usually don't go, and about 30 feet in front of me I see a semi just pull out in front of me, blocking my entire lane right away. I'm only going 25 mph, but at that speed you still barely have time to react, and there was nowhere for me to swerve (other lane was oncoming traffic). I managed to get my foot on the brake just as I hit him, right about where his gas tank is, right below the door. Needless to say, it was like hitting a brick wall, even at that speed. Car filled up with smoke, airbags went off, and I was only able to open the door. Lucky for me, there were tons of witnesses and people around, so they helped me out right away. I couldn't get out of my seat because of back pain, so i got the joy of being braced in my seat and then put on a board for the ride down to the hospital. After some xrays they let me go, said it was just acute back strain and that'd i'd be really sore for a while.

So i went over to the tow yard after that to look at my car, and this is what greeted me

There's also a dent in the roof where the sub punched through the headliner and almost through the roof. The windshield is shattered, the back of my seat got punched in by the sub too. So I had some insane back pain from that where a corner hit my back through the seat. I had an absolutely huge bruise on my shoulder, from the seatbelt locking, it was about half an inch below my collarbone so I'm very grateful that I didn't snap that bone. And my hip got cut up from the seatbelt pulling my jeans tight across the skin. My yellow top got split open, apparently thats where the smoke was coming from. Someone told me afterwards that there was a fire in the engine bay so I think the battery started that. That lady also told me that I was out cold for about 20 minutes during this, which I clearly don't remember, kinda scares me.

Afterwards, the driver said he was 100% at fault. He was a USPS driver, in a big International semi truck, and he said that he did not look in my direction before he pulled into the road. I'm writing this now because its finally all over, I just got my insurance check on Friday and was able to find a new truck yesterday. I just have to get a few interior things out of the car, but the rest has to go with it. And I have to deal with one major problem...my seatbelt broke out of the buckle! I'm pretty sure that is never ever supposed to happen, so I'm trying to get my insurance company to make a case against ford for that. Pretty soon though I'll have the sale of the remaining parts, so I'll list em out below real quick for y'all.

Massive Speed System Underdrive Pulley Kit (brand new, never put on car)

Focus Central Ceramic Coated Race Header (used, but never by me)

The big one, a 95% complete SVT brake kit, just needs brake lines as far as I know. I'm working on repainting the calipers before I put it up for sale. Its got the spindles, knuckles, all calipers, drilled rotors for front, solid for rear, hats, and some pads but i would recommend new ones. I never used this either.

Possibly a Redline Tuning strut kit, if nobody local takes it

And many other things I'm sure I'll find...

The damage to the car was valued at 15k, and the frame was bent apart, so they wrote it off as totaled and gave me a check. I ended up getting a 99 Dodge Dakota Sport, i got an amazing deal on it!
