what to buy

had some problems with the lincoln ls i was looking at. idk y my thread was closed but im deciding between a couple cars now.

01 lincoln ls with 52000 miles needs new brakes and my dad feels like it leans to one side which might be a problem for 9000

00 lincoln ls not so nice interior as the 01 and 64k miles for the same price assuming it doesnt have any problems

00 range rover se 4.0 with 39k miles for 9000

04 land rover freelander with 60000 miles for 8000

i think it was an 04 s10 extreme for 8600 with 55k miles

03 pt cruiser gt turbo ya its stupid looking but turbo and only 29000 miles for 8900

05 scion xb with 64k miles for 8800 another dumb one but its unique

98 navigator with 71k miles for 8600

01 expedition with 77k miles for 7600

clearly my price range is just under 10000. looking for something with fairly low miles leaning more toward comfort and aesthetics with this one than performance. i kno its a very broad range of cars none of them too much alike but id like to know everyones opinions or what u think is the best for the price?

personally, i dont like any of your choices. some of those are known for poor reliability, while others are just downright unappealing. look into late 90s lexus GS and LS models.

from your list, i would pick the scion.

Stay far, far away from the Range Rover and the Free Lander. Awful reliability and very expense to repair.

The Navigator and Expedition are going to suck down gas like it was going out of style.

Check the buyer reviews on edmunds.com to get a feel for the reliability of the cars you're looking at.

I read but didn't lock your thread and honestly I thought I would have been to late to respond.

The Lincoln LS V8 is a ticking time bomb set for 60,000 + miles. I worked at ford and with in the two years I was there I saw a different LS every week for the same old problems. The V8 for some reason will blow coils out like its their job, at 150 a piece that was not fun telling the customer. They would also have oil covering the spark plugs at what seemed to be a TIMED setting at 60,000. I can't count how many of those came in, and lastly my #1 job on the LS was a part that controlled the individual heating/cooling system. This is a little bypass system sending coolant where you want it depending on the temperature you want in the car, when this goes bad not only will your A/C NOT WORK but the car will over heat with in 15min of driving.

Pick a better car, the focus will be a dream compared to a LS.
