2002 ZX5 with factory remote start!?!?!

Hey guys, I just bought a ZX5 last week and it seems to have remote start. I didn't know it did and the previous owner didnt mention it!!! He was the only owner since new...so he had to know. It was in my pocket while i was outside and when I crouched down to pick some stuff up it must have hit a button and the car started. Since I have no idea what button it hit, I don't know how to do it again. Basically I had to get into the car and just turn the key on and then back off to shut the car off. Did the 2002 ZX5 come with factory remote start? I have the factory for key fob so its not an aftermarket system. If they did come with remote start, what button activates it? Thanks for any help in clearing this up!

Yep I sure do.....and I'm almost sure I've seen your car around town. Got any pics of the entire car posted anywhere? I doubt there are too many S40 1.9 R around town. So yeah...still need to figure out this remote start thing though. Craziest thing ever. I've never owned a car that I've found out had remote start this way. It was quite a surprise!

Searching google it seems like some people where getting remote start on there focus right from the dealer. People said holding the trunk key activates it or also holding the unlock / lock at same time.

Is the Clicker Ford or after market?

It will look different this weekend because I got new rims.
There she is. And I guarantee there aren't many S40 R's around because they don't exist! When I bought the CAI and installed it I decided it was worthy of the badge. I also have a huge eurosporttuning banner on the rear window.

That remote start will come in handy on those -18* mornings!! That is, if you can figure it out!! Good luck!

Thanks drosado, I tried googling and was coming up with nothing. All I could ever find were people talking about installing aftermarket remote start. But yeah, the key fob is the actual ford remote.

That is the most I can find. I'm sure someone else has the dealer add-on and will chime in.
