'09 Focus SES w/Sirius radio

My SES came with Sirius. Subsription runs out in Jan '10. I want to go with the AlaCarte program. Sirius says my receiver will not accept that. At my dealer several days ago a customer has an '08 Taurus with Sirius. It will accept the AlaCarte. Sirius and Ford won't give me any info of what Sirius receiver is in the car. If anyone can provide any info I would appreciate it. Also, I can understand why Sirius radio is not doing well. Their customer service is pretty bad. My better half became "glued" to Channel 5 (50's music).Very happy with this Focus! Thanks!

Thanks! I even went to the Best Buy store in Champaign, IL. They had a kid there who didn't seem to know anything what was going on in their Vehicle Audio deptment. I take it that you didn't opt with any programming for your wife's radio?

Hmm I don't know I just re-uped my entire subscription since it only cost me $34 or so....I apparently had a credit of $117 on file with Sirius from having it once before I got deployed over seas. But after this year of service no more.

XM/Sirius has the worst customer service of anyone I have ever dealt with. Never, ever give them a credit card number. You will get screwed hard. They cut months off of your prepaid subscription and send you a new bill and will try to "refuse" to turn it off. If you don't pay they will destroy your credit. I hate XM/Sirius. The closest I've ever been to a full blown heart attack was two separate occasions dealing with them. The worst is that they rarely can speak English correctly and they say your name over and over and over until your so pissed off that you normally would just hang up and pay to not let yourself get so upset.
