if you want 50hp on a budget, nitrous is your only way to go.

with basic bolt on's (cold air intake and exhaust) your looking at maybe a 20 HP increase. If you step up to a header you'll most likely need a tune to get the most out of your mods. Or just start with the tune because the factory ECU is very non-performance oriented.

CAI, exhaust, header, and tune are about the best you can do on a budget. That should get you around 40hp.

07's are Duratec engines. Your intake manifold is in the front of the engine compartment. Zetecs have the intake manifold in the rear of the engine compartment. You also might have noticed that you don't have spark plug wires, but have COP ignition.

50 whp with $5k? Why not just get a turbo and go all the way over 200?

So how much do you know about cars anyway, out of curiosity?

Well anyway, find you a dyno shop, get a set of stage 2 cams, air intake, free flowing exhaust, flash tool, and that should get you close to 50 extra whp putting you somewhere around 150ish. You'd get better than that with a header, but the neighbors will hate you, and so will any vehicle inspection authority.

Live free or DIE!!! NH is the best NE state IMO- no sales taxes except restaurant food and hotels, and no income tax!!

Take a pic of the motor,
Unless someone swapped the motor or etched in Zetec into the thing it shouldn't be a Zetec
or it's not a 07
