Ford's New 2.0L EcoBoost

If someone has already posted this article, don't flame me! But this is likely the engine will see in the next performance based focus...

This engine as well as the new dual clutch gearbox could be a lot of fun...

maybe we might be happy with the next gen focus model that comes to the states. sounds like a decent eng/trans combo, but the bumped up version of this engine, svt/rs model hopefully will see 300hp/tq. not cool if less power to accomodate fuel economies.

IF NOT THAT R20 GOLF MIGHT BE A NICE CHOICE. ALL WHEEL DRIVE TURBO DSG HHMMMMMMMMM.

I love the new R20! The R32 is sick as well, an amazing car to driver. MKIV or MKV...

If we get this EcoBoost engine with an LSD and good brakes, I'd be happy. At about 240hp stock, we can get to 300 on that engine with minor mods...

Would love to see this engine in a small car, but it probably will wind up in a larger car for the government fuel economy requirements.

LOL, you haters crack me up. An ecoboost focus would cremate any of the Golf cars. I've driven the new GTI as hard as you can drive them and my Civic Si could easily beat that thing with a good driver behind the wheel. The Civic is weak= GTI is a joke. I've had two GTIs with $10K in the second one so I'm not anti-VW. I really don't understand this argument that somehow a 250 HP Focus is comparable to a slow VW. It makes no sense at all.
