What is this compartment

I've been searching what this compartment is for, i don't have a picture but it's the compartment next to the glasses compartment right next to the dome lights are.... does anybody have an idea ????

Pretty much whatever you'd want to use it for. Most would put a garage door opener in there, but I've also seen it used for chewing gum storage, cigarettes, or tic-tacs.

Yes, garage door opener. There is or was velcro strips to stick it in there. Additionally, there is or were some "LEGOS" to line up with the buttons. Note that there is some flex to the compartmrnt; just enough to push the buttons. Edit later with pix and a how to if y'all really want!
