fuel filter

Does anyone know where the fuel filter is located on the 2009 focus. The dealership has been totally unhelpful but very money hungry. I keep getting the run around about how I need to just bring it in and have them take care of it. Please help!!!

How many miles do you have on your car ? Isn't it not recommended until 30k ?

I'm coming up on 30K and would prefer to do the work myself instead of overpaying at the dealership.

Oh ok, it's on the passenger side I think there's a little black plastic cover that's in the way that you'll have to take off.

On the older focus's its right next to the fuel tank (on the side toward the front of the car), and its held on by 2 clips.

I cant see it being in any other place since almost every Ford I've owned has ha dthem in the same place.
