busted rims suck

Especially when it comes to replacing them. So, I was pulling into a parking lot and misjudged the distance to the entrance and smacked right into the curb. It also didn't help that there was also a pothole in that same place bringing the impact point much higher thus creating more damage. I probably would have just rolled over it no problem had it not been for the pot hole.
Anyway here's the carnage:
(don't mind the cat)

closer:

None of the places in town will repair aluminum, and it's hard as hell to find Motegis in this size and style anymore. that's what I get for finding a great deal on ebay huh? I'm rolling on the doughnut right now until my friend brings up my winter wheels/tires from helena tomorrow. hopefully I can find a new one quick before my races next month.

-Ken

Im sure SOMEONE can fix that... if they can form it back to its original, they could grind it and add more material to complete it.

A tear came to my eye when I saw that you have a 06 zx4. Not a hatch with tracklites like everyone else! I bet it looked good as hell... :[

that sucks man. I just had to go doughnut cause there was a tiny metal stud in my tire and I thought there was something but could never find it and neither could any of the guys I had look at it, so the tire bubbled and i am supposed to get another one in the morning.

Anyways, thats too bad, I like those rims too.

With that amount of damage, I would also be concerned about damage to your suspension. You could have very easily bent a strut, contorl arm, tie rod, tweaked the steering rack...might be worth taking a look underneath and maybe swinging by your mechanic's for an alignment check

yeah, I've got an appointment to get that checked out later this week. It seems to drive just fine, but you can never be too careful.
