Hopefully I'm not the only one...

Hopefully I'm not the only one this has happened to, otherwise I'll feel like I shouldn't be driving anymore.

Anyways, I almost ALWAYS put my keys in right pocket, and my phone in my left pocket when I get out of my car. But for some reason, today I put my keys in my left pocket and my phone in the right. Coming out of church and walking to my car, I go to pull my keys out, and as usual I'm not looking at all and just feeling around for the unlock button. For about 15-20 seconds I felt for it before I finally looked down and realized I had grabbed my phone and was trying to unlock my car with that.... Even worse, I thought I had completely lost my keys, and panicked for a moment before I felt my pockets and found it in my left pocket.

I don't know maybe it was the fact I was distracted by the Nissan GT-R pulling out of the parking space to my left, or that I just didn't get enough sleep last night, but whatever the reason, I felt really dumb when I looked down and realized I had been spinning my phone and feeling all around for a button that didn't exist.

I had something similar happen the other day, I always have my keys in one of my front pockets and somehow they ended up in my back pocket. I went into the store and came back out and reached in my front right pocket then my front left and thought "wtf did I do with my keys", I looked in the car and saw I didn't lock them in there. I thought I was going to have to go search through the store, luckily I gave myself a pat down before I went back in.

Kind a like spending a 1/2 hour looking all over the shop and garage for a tool that's in your pocket. Gee, I've never done that!

I did that with a 1/8 allen wrench, was blaming half the guys in the shop in my head. Wasted 45 minutes looking, gave up, found it in my pocket when I went for the keys tolock the tool box at the end of the day.

Or looking all over the house and car for your glasses, when they are sitting on your ugly mug all along.

Good post LOL, never had this with my keys but sometimes I put whatever somewhere and then go crazy 'cause I can't find it.
For the keys I have a solution, actually its my kids who gave me that (just in case). It's one of those loooong keyholder things you can actually hang around your neck, and my kids thought this might be handy for the old man. Since then my car and house keys are on there, never have to look for them again (I hope).
