2010 Info now up on fordvehicles.com

Ford updated the Focus section of their website for 2010 over the past day. Car configurator, brochures, etc all updated to 2010.

http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/focussedan/

Can't wait to get one in a few more months. :-)

Looks like the same old boring 08-09 Focus with no optional engine to choose from. Wish they offered the 2.3 for the SES.

Why? Whats wrong with the Jetta. honestly i'd wait for the brand new focus to come out in 2011. You only have one year left to go dude, not sure what your jetta's status in, but I assume its fine and can last you years.

You might want to check out The 2010 Kia Forte SX which starts at $17,195 BTW. I know if i was in the market for a 2010 car I would at least see what else I can get for the same amount of money.

Jetta is at end of lease. If I could wait it out I'd get a Fiesta...not a Focus.

I was going to to buy this one out at the end of the lease but two things have happened since I got the car.

1. The car has quite frankly been a PITA. This car has been in the shop more than my 00 Jetta, 02 A4 (RIP) and 03 A4 combined. It has a re-occurring electrical gremlin right now that VW can't track down and has had a host of other issues that seem to have it in every other month or so.

2. I've decided that the Mk V Jetta is really bloated, 'generic' and boring. I don't love the car like I did my previous VAG cars. Handling is dull compared to the MkIV and the car is HEAVY. 650 lbs heavier than the Focus and it's very close size wise. it seems that VW was trying to grab more of a Camary crowd. It's not the go-kart the Mk IV was.

I'd LOVE a MkVI Golf when they come out by end of the year, but they are more money (by like 5k) than I want to pay. I only drive 8k a year (i work out of my house) and just cannot justify a 20k+ car. Also, being in and from Metro Detroit and living through the destruction of the local economy and the highest unemployment in the state, I really want to buy a car that is built here...in Michigan.

The Focus is the only car that I found to be a blast to drive in the price point that I am willing to pay and can still have a nicely appointed car...and I get a discount + incentives which add up.

Didn't they say they were going to toss out the 4F27E transmission?

ABS and traction control are standard now, but it's also $1,000 more. I thought about waiting for the Fiesta, but I can't imagine how I could love a cheap car any more than my '09. The Fiesta is cool though. By the time I'm ready to trade mine, if ever, I'll have an RS option.
