2010 Mustang Vs Challenger SRT8

Honsetly I think Ford has the Challenger beat!

Now to compare the two cars (Challenger & Mustang) one should only look at the R/T. Since that's the closest in price range.

However the SRT8 Challenger is the best of the best.

So the 2010 Msutang time is 0-60 in 4.9 Seconds you can pick one up for about $26,000.

The 2009 Challenger SRT8 has a 0-60 time of 4.9 seconds and you can pick one up for about $40,000 however by the time you had the manual and a few packages your at $43,000-$44,000.

That's a price difference of $14000 to $18,000

Now not i'm the best car modder in the world, however if you had a budget to build a fast car. You only had two choices between a SRT8 Challenger or a Mustang GT which one would you pick? Your budget beign say $45,000.

SRT8 you could chip it, exhaust it and be broke.

Mustang GT Turbo it, chip it, intake, everything whole nine yards. Hell could prob toss a 5.4 in there!

So in my opinion the 2010 Mustang is 100X better then a Challenger

O BTW the quality is impressive in the Mustang.

The last 3 customers who spoke to me about Challengers are now driving 2010 Mustangs. It's a very easy sell.

1. Same performance
2. $15,000 less
3. Higher quality interior
4. Don't pay extra for manual!

I don't think you'll get too much of an arguement on here regarding a mustang vs. a challenger. Just a hunch.

BTW, did you really say you are the best car modder on the road? :o

No, I can't mod for a crap.

I forgot to put the "not" in the sentence.

i honestly go for the srt 8 challenger w/ stick if i had no car about money. but if i were on any sort of budget, mustang gt ftw!

but reasons why not to get challenger...
extra $$$ for a manual transmission!?!? first of all it should have came stick shift before, and the only reason they made the first in autotragic and then introduced the manual was to make a buzz, than they slapped a price tag for the manual transmission! anyway to get a few bucks i guess....

but then its a fat a$$... its on a chargers platform, a family sedan...

the mustang is a genuine muscle car. cut the bs, slap a 5 speed onto a small block v8, make it look angry, and give it a price to sell. i mean they even did so much to route tubing into the cabin to hear more of that v8 sound! who else touches up on those types of things?

mustang ftw

I am sure that I will get blasted for this one, but like bobkat said if money wasn't an option I would choose the SRT8. I like the interior better and the car feels a bit more solid than the Mustang.

Mustang FTW!! I stood next to a challenger the other day and realized just how HUGE this thing is! I am 6'1" and this thing came up to my shoulders!

if i could, id challenger for just cruising around cause it is a looker, and the mustang to do any sort of fun driving,

if i had to have one, it'd be the stang cause hustling a 4200 pound family sedan through some back roads would not be fun,
.
.
.
.
plus i just like the mustang better in every way...a lot better

Or you could just skip all the modding and try to get a GT500 for MSRP lol. TRY is emphisized lol. But damn, now thats something I'd spend that kind of money on. The previous gt500, no way...but this new one is so good looking. The interior is even better and your basically buying a GT500KR with new stuff. Not to mention the SRT4 doesnt come with real aluminum, or a real cue ball shifter, or over 500hp and tq, or Alacantra. The regular GT is still hard to beat performance/price wise. And it'll be even harder next year when the 2011 gets a 400hp, 400 tq Coyote V8 in it lol. BYE BYE CAMARO

The Challenger SRT-8 is slightly overweight compared to todays cars, I would want to bear all the weight when driving along any road regardless.
