Hung Out With Some of The Fiesta Movement Guys(pics)

So i went to my buddys best buy store today, becuase there were a few fiestas getting work done, having sirius radio installed

Thought id share some pics of the fiestas

The guys were really cool, we watched some videos that they made, and just talked about the whole fiesta movement.

The cars were shipped from europe, and are technically not street legal in the states. Once their done in november, the cars get shipped back to europe...

If they did something with the plastic in the front I would like them. Hell, a paint match would do wonders.

The white menace (former member of the Woody Show) is part of the fiesta movement, I found it funny that the article said Ford chose the crème de la crème to give these cars to, considering menace is an idiot, but that's why he's funny. And he's media savvy so that gets the Fiesta word out I guess.

I could do without the graphics, I think the car calls enough attention to itself without the need for more show.

well you have to keep in mind that these two cars were shipped right from europe, their not street legal here, but they got the ok to run them here..

We were talking about it, and they told me that there will be some changes to make them street legal here in the states once they go on sale

the graphics are to set the cars apart, otherwise there would be the same car rolling around. this way it makes each of them different
It was funny, becuase i told one of the guys i liked his graphics more than the other, lol

All in all, they were really cool guys, and a blast to hang out with. And it was cool to see a car thats not in production here yet up close and personal.

Honsetly the fiesta in the America would hit a nice sweet spot of a $15,000 car.

The Focus is a $15,000 car too however that's stripped we need a $15,000 car thats loaded.

My buddy just bought a Opel Astra, Tax, Licease, Plates, brand new with 10 miles on the clock. Power windows, door locks, manual. Paid 9,800 euros for it which is about $13,000.

It would be nice, but there is no way a decently loaded model will cost that, the cars i saw had projectors, push button start9no key required), sync with voice control that controls EVERYTHING, climate, radio, etc is all controlled by voice, the 17inch rims, etc etc etc...

i would put my money on a decently equipped fiesta starting around 17/18k

And that would cause a serious product overlap problem. For that much you can get a fully loaded Focus SES with Sync,sunroof,17 inch rims and all. You have to keep the car price competitive(around $13-16k).

Even then $17-18K for an entry level vehicle is a little hard to swallow for a lot of people-especially for an entry level Ford.

well keep in mind my guestimate is with it loaded. Im sure a base model fiesta will be somewhere around the 11-12k range, a few thousand below the focus.

Persaonlly, i would buy thefiesta over the focus though, as long as they dont change anything from the euro model(like i think they will)

I like the looks better, and the interior as well, not to mention im sure it will get better gas mileage

I was watching the fiesta movment videos some of the people did, and one mission was to fill the car up with gas and drive till its empty, and one guy got 430 some miles from a tank, so thats not too bad if you ask me
