Arrow SVT Chat

Hey I am going to be buying a new car soon and was heavily considering to purchase a 2003 focus svt. I would appreciate anyones opinion on the car, how it drives, speed, handling, gas mileage, anything really just trying to get some good info before i buy.
Thanks

Actually, that's more of the realm of the SVT owner's lounge under SVT performance chat. You can ask that question here, but your title doesn't really reflect the question you're asking of our members. Would you like me to change it to something like "Should I buy an SVT?"

Go take it for a test drive and see for yourself is my best advice as far as how it drives and handles. I could spit out technical stats about it performs but you need to feel it for yourself. I can say I doubt you'll be disappointed As far as mpg, with a stock tune they generally return around 25mpg mixed while still getting 30ish on the highway. With an aftermarket tune, my best I got was 35 so they do have the potential to get great mpg. Now, even with my supercharger and other mods I still average 24-27mpg on Sunoco 94.

well i have one and i love it. its a good car to begin with. good chassis and strong suspension with a little motor that can hold up to about any four cylinder without a turbo. I have put a few things into mine and it is awesome. i can keep up with alot and it is a very fun car to drive. even though i live somewhere where the roads are flat and straight. its really fun and looks good. good luck though man.

I saw that they are supposed to only get between 21 and 25 mpg, if im a pretty conservative driver is it likely i could get better than that most of the time?

Depends, with the stock ECU tuning you could probably see 28 on the highway. Like I said, after I got mine re-tuned, I was seeing 32mpg highway and 28mixed.
