The elusive 'new' 07 SE ZXW wagon: 5-speed with sunroof

I pick up the 'new' wagon on Saturday... it's an 07 Silver ZXW SE with manual transmission, sunroof, ABS and side airbags, cruise and tilt... with 13K miles.

I've suspected the car was rare because I've been hunting for some time -- the 07 wagons ended production early, so their numbers would be low to begin with -- add to that the manual transmission and sunroof. And it's a PZEV.

What's odd is that the PDF brochure I have for the 2007 Focus has a remark about the sunroof only being available on the SE sedan... so the car is even more rare than I had suspected?

'splain that!

Nice looking car. And you're lucky with the sunroof. I wish I had one.

The brochure chart is confusing. I believe what it is saying is that out of the 'SE' trim line, you can only get the sunroof (moonroof) on the SE sedan - sunroof not available on the SE hatchbacks or SE wagon.....

In other words, you have to have the 'SES' trim option to get the sunroof on the wagon.

Still a rare combination, though.
....................................................
Edit:
Wait a minute! Are you saying that your wagon is an 'SE'? With all that equipment? Are you sure? Maybe somebody took the last 'S'.

My SE hatch has ABS, traction control, six disc CD/MP3 player, side airbags, steering column radio controls, and a tach.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there more manual transmissions in the hatch's and sedans than the wagon?

Yep, a 5-speed wagon is rare, in all the model years. There was an '02 5-speed wagon with 90,000 miles on the Ford lot here, it only lasted three days before it was sold.

Yeah - every time I see one in a parking lot, I check it out - haven't seen many with a manual trans.

On the drive from Buffalo to VA Beach, the Foc returned 40 and 37 mpg respectively... calm driving, 62 mph max, smooth acceleration, the second tank with a lot of AC. It will be interesting to see how she does on my daily drive.
