What a sad loss. GM bet a lot on these little rodsters, only to be dead so soon! I really liked driving the GXP

The Sky Redline was a blast to drive also just a bit sluggish on handling though. But the straight lines is where it excelled. One of the few models of GM I hate to see go too. Ah I am sure we will see something revamped in the future of this though.

i really loved the new solstice coupe. the saturn sky was extremely ugly and im glad thats going but not the solstice coupe. everyone said it had bad handling but no one really ever said why. all they said was to buy a miata instead.

i believe the problems stemmed from the vehicle's weight. they are small cars but are on the hefty side. feedback will never be as good in a heavier car.

i wish the saturn sky was more angular? i dunno how to describe it. sports cars dont usually do "boxy" well. like the GT-R to me is more angular and it works well on it. i cant quite put my finger on what it was about the sky but all in all it was awkward!

The SKy was based off the original Opel GT's and Vaxhualls that came before it, all of which shared similar design cues. Imo, the Sky was the better looking of the two. The solstice didnt look bad, it was just too soft. But both were great cars, and obviously will become collectibles, especially the turbo versions and the solstice coupe.

They Sky/Solstice were cows on wheels for sure. I took one for a test drive and cornering in that thing was scary going onto a freeway on-ramp. Going 40mph on a 35 mph ramp you could hear the tires breaking traction easily. But the straightline power of the Redline made up for it though
